| The Hailey Community Climate Challenge is a three-year community-based project designed to empower people to save energy and money, support the local economy, and share ideas and results with your friends and neighbors – and even other communities. The Challenge offers the chance to both teach and learn new knowledge and skills, help your town and have some fun in the process. The goal of the Challenge is to save enough energy to provide heat and power to 57 homes for one year! The official website for the Challenge is www.haileychallenge.org. The ERC is a formal part of the Challenge, which is funded by an EPA grant; we are providing all of the education and outreach for the initiaitve. The other partners are: City of Hailey, Clear Creek Disposal, Ed Van Every, Mountain Rides, Idaho Power, Elizabeth Jeffrey, Western States Geothermal, Atkinsons’ Market, Building Material Thrift Store, Sagebrush Solar, Albertson’s, Diamond Sun Productions, Brian Formusa, King’s, Hailey Chamber of Commerce The Challenge is comprised of a variety of projects - learn more about each of them below!
