The results are in for our 2016 bird walks. From January to September, 63 enthusiastic birders participated in 13 bird walks. Birding locations included: Silver Creek, Camas Prairie Marsh, Craters of the Moon, River Run, St. Luke’s Pond, and Draper Preserve. We observed 94 different bird species, with a big day of 38 different species on May 21 at the Craters of the Moon. Some rare birds seen this year are: Emu, Brambling, and White-faced Ibis.
A very special thank you to Poo Wright-Pulliam for generously co-leading our walks!
